Ventilation Duct Cleaning
No matter how efficient your extraction system is or how regular your filter cleaning programme, a build up of grease and other flammable substances in ductwork can become a significant fire hazard.
The shattering effects of any subsequent fire on a business are vast. Regardless of the size of your business, cleanliness of the ventilation duct extraction system is too important to ignore.
Ecotec's comprehensive ventilation and duct cleaning eliminates the risk or hazardous conditions.
Health and Safety at Work Regulations and Fire Regulations require that a risk assessment of the grease extraction system must be undertaken. The results must be acted upon to eliminate or at the very least minimise the risk of fire.
Ecotec's ventilation duct cleaning practices comply with HVCA TR19 Standards as set out in their Guide to Good Practice.
We are increasingly dealing with companies whose insurance company requires evidence that a fire risk assessment has been carried out. Evidence must also be provided to show that the risk assessment has included the grease extract ventilation system and that a professional contractor has cleaned the ventilation duct system on an annual basis as a minimum requirement.
Ecotec's deep cleaning report and deep cleaning certificate is acceptable to Environmental Health Inspections, Fire Regulations and Insurance Companies.
Cleaning Ventilation Ducting Grease Build Up
Due to the potential risks from the build-up of residual grease inside ventilation ducting, access panels should be installed at regular intervals to allow thorough cleaning of the interior of the ventilation duct can be properly cleaned. Additional benefits will be improved airflow (this helps to maintain a comfortable working temperature), and a reduction in the build up of grease on expensive catering equipment.
The Ducting Access Panels comprise of a metal frame with rubber gaskets, and an insulated removable door that is secured by cam fasteners. They have also been tested and approved by the BSRIA (The Building Services Research and Information Service); a copy of this report can be provided if required. Our thoroughly trained Ducting Engineers will ensure the work is carried out to the highest standard.
